Pay: MPS / UPS Start Date: April 2021 Communication and Interaction Specialist Teacher -12 month fixed term contract The Tonbridge and Malling Specialist Teaching andLearning Service team are looking to recruit a full time Specialist Teacher intheir Communication and Interaction dimension team. The position will be on a12 month fixed term contract basis starting in April 2021 (term 5). This is an excellent opportunity for a suitablyqualified and experienced C&I teacher to work in supporting our Tonbridgeand Malling main stream schools with CYP with additional needs in Communicationand Interaction, such as Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs(SLCN). The Specialist Teaching and Learning Servicesupport our district schools and settings by carrying out observations,assessments, setting up interventions, putting together targets to support theCYP involved and liaising with SENCos and parents. Specialist teachers are alsorequired to deliver training within their dimension of specialism to schoolswithin the district Candidates for this role should have a goodunderstanding of current Kent SEND policies and processes, including LIFT,Statutory Assessment and EHCPs and be able to evidence working closely andcollaboratively with outside agencies and professionals.
