Software Developerrequired by print production company based in Tonbridge, Kent. Havingdeveloped several bespoke software platforms to give us competitive advantage, we have recently launched a new brand WowBooks, specialising in photobooks and storybooks that we have exciting growth plans for. We are now looking to recruit a passionate and talented Software Developer to help design, develop and deploy software for our business. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performant software in compliance with best practice coding standards and technical design. Help to drive better working practices and become a valued member of the Technical Services department.Reporting to our Technical Services head, duties will include:-Internal Software Management and Development-External Software Management (SaaS)-Custom Integrations configuration and Management (API first approach)Skills:-2+ years’ experience as a Software Developer / Engineer-Experience in event driven architecture and serverless-Experience working with CI/CD-Demonstrable ability to refactor and write performant, secure and clean code-Experience using Modern IDEs-Advanced knowledge of API Design and Integration-Advanced knowledge of API Based Microservices REST, GraphQL or gRPC-Advanced knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript and NodeJS-Intermediate knowledge using Git-Intermediate knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes-Intermediate knowledge building Azure Serverless Functions-Intermediate database knowledge in SQL and noSQL - MSSQL, MongoDB and CosmosDB-Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS-Basic knowledge of UI based JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Angular)-Basic knowledge of C# and .NET CoreCompany Tech Stack:Frontend Development -React;Angular;C# (Legacy)Backend Development -NodeJS;GraphQL;.NET Core (Legacy)Cloud Infrastructure and Deployment -Azure SQL;Azure App Services;Azure Kunernetes;Azure Functions;Azure DevOps / PipelinesOn Prem Infrastructure -IIS (Legacy)Personal Skills & Attributes:-Self-motivated, energetic and ambitious-Working completely independently, without having to rely on other team members to make progress-Collaboratively solve problems; communicate technical decisions through tech-talks and white-boarding sessions-High level of engagement when architecting and developing new software.
