Job Title: PHP and Laravel Developer Company: Engineering Business Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum dependent upon experience. About the Company: The PHP and Laravel Developer will be working for a leading player in the civil engineering sector, specialising in multi-disciplined civil engineering and utility works across the UK. They work with top-tier clients in the Utilities, Property, and Constructionindustries. With a varied portfolio of successful companies, they offer a comprehensive suite of services to their clients. Role Overview: This company is seeking an established PHP/ Laravel Developer to support in the continuous development of their bespoke in-house software system with a view of marketing the product once finalised, to other civil engineering firms. This system is a web basedand app based one for their employees and contractors to access the services via tablets or mobile phones to meet all of their operational needs. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain the internal system, ensuring it aligns with operational needs and security standards. - Assist in marketing efforts for the system to be deployed to external clients. - Write clean, secure, and efficient code. - Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle. Requirements: - Minimum of 3 years PHP and MVC experience, particularly in Laravel. - Proficiency in HTML, JS, and jQuery, with proven experience. - Strong understanding of writing secure code. - Excellent MySQL skills. - Experience with GIT version control. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - The role is office based as they work extremely collaboratively with Directors and Senior Managers and one of their USPs for clients is their ability to react to change and they need a dynamic developer able to react with them.
