Job Description

Estimator - Residential Salary - £40,000-£50,000Location - Tiverton, DevonJob Type - PermanentAbout the company With over 30 years of experience in the construction and building industry, they provide a full service. Whether you need to renovate, create more space, or have started the journey of building your own new home, they have all the industry knowledge andexpertise to build, extend and refurbish homes to the very highest standards. To arrange a quote for new builds, extensions, and conversions, get in touch to discuss your project. Their expert team is here to help with all of your architectural needs, whetherthey are domestic or commercial.The role will be office based however will require to be on site from time to time.They are looking for someone with general experience of residential and domestic experience as well as 5 years of experience in Estimating.Key responsibilities

  • Analysing plans, bills of quantities and other project documentation in order to estimate costs
  • Researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Analysing data that can affect costs (such as currency exchange rates and the company’s productivity rates)
  • Assessing the financial, technical, and operational risks of the project
  • Visiting project sites to gather information
  • Staying aware of the latest construction technologies
  • Keeping up to date with the latest regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Inputting into decisions over whether to bid for the project
  • Working closely with key members of the project team (such as the bid manager) and liaising with clients and suppliers
  • Keeping detailed records and writing reports
Benefits - £40,000-£50,000 per annum- Other benefits will be negotiated on interview
