A Learning Disability Support Worker is required to work within a specialist private supported living service based in Tiptree! *Do you know someone who would be interested in this role We offer a £250 referral bonus per successful candidate that is referred*Salary per hour: £10.54ph ltd Hours and length of contract: *PERMANENT ROLE*Full or Part Time available*Mixed shifts on a rota (must work every other weekend)oEarly: 07:00 - 14:45oLate: 14:30 - 22:15oNight shifts may be available* The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAPDaily Duties: You will work within a private supported living service which consists of two bungalows and eight service users in total. The services users are disabled adults with complex care needs and your role be to support these individuals to live as independently as possible.Complex needs can include:*Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC)*Aspergers Syndrome*Bipolar Disorder*Depression*Downs Syndrome*Epilepsy*Personality Disorder*Schizophrenia*Speech and Language DifficultiesAs a support worker you will provide high quality and compassionate care to the service users, be responsible for their general well-being.Daily duties include but are not limited to:*Providing physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to service users *Working closely with staff and tenants in promoting individual packages of care that reflect the persons chosen lifestyle*Supporting tenants in leisure, education and employment services inside and outside of the home *Supporting tenants as much as possible to undertake household chores, including planning and pre-paring meals *Assisting tenants in maintaining their personal hygiene where necessary *Participating in training opportunities to gain a wide understanding of tenants needs and disabilities *Giving medication as required*Completing written reports and notes *Supporting tenants accessing benefits e.g. housing benefit, income support, DLA etc Company Benefits*Competitive rates of pay*Training/Qualification Opportunities- thorough induction and bespoke specialised training to support your personal development*Support to complete the Care Certificate (on successful completion of your probationary period)*Internal progression opportunities*Employee benefits portal - exclusive perks and discounts on cinema tickets, flights/holidays, theme parks, days out plus much more!*Employee Support Helpline - private and confidential employee support helpline, covering a wide range of topics including financial advice, health and well-being and more.
