Job Description

Do you have experience of developing and implementing learning strategies and programs Maybe you can design e-learning courses, career plans and deliver workshops. If you can, please read on!NHS Shared Business Services are looking for a Senior Learning and Development Advisor. Working closely within the business to identify development needs and deliver learning solutions. You will lead on embedding and increasing engagement in our e-learningplatform and play a key role in measuring and improving engagement in our learning opportunities. This is a wide and varied role with multiple focus areas, involving a cross section of engagement and development activities.The majority of your time will be spent working from home but there will be an expectation to attend the Wakefield office once a fortnight. There will be some travelling involved for team meetings across the country.What you will be doing:

  • Support training needs analysis activity and identifying and delivering suitable in house and external learning interventions
  • Build and curate learning content either independently, or working with internal or external stakeholders, focussing on the technical and behavioural skills required for effective performance
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate training workshops, classroom or online, across the business as needed
  • Act as the learning managements system subject matter expert and lead on promotion of the platform and content curation to support identified development needs within the business
  • Capture and monitor training course evaluations, share feedback and analysis with the Learning and development team
  • Developing and maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships with all colleagues to sustain the reputation of the HR & Employee
  • Engagement Development (EED) team as a customer focused function.
  • Support the EED Manager with projects as required, most likely to focus on but not limited to wellbeing and engagement
What you will bring:
  • Experience of partnering with the business to identify development needs and implement suitable solutions
  • Experienced in creating and presenting material to a varied range of stakeholders
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience of data analysis and reporting (Excel - pivot tables and Vlookups
  • Able to prioritise workload and multi-task optimally whilst retaining a strong eye for detai
  • Strong team player, able to work effectively with a diverse cross section of stakeholder
  • Adaptable and able to deal with changing priorities.
  • Current valid driving licence and ability to travel across the country.
Desirable Skills
  • Working towards a recognised certification with a recognised and relevant professional body.
  • Experience of managing and curating content in a e-learning platform.
  • Project management experience
