Job Description

You will have the opportunity to work in a performance driven team and add real value.This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Nurse Recruitment team on an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract, you will engage with key stake holders and place candidates into our national treasure, the NHS.Hours: 37.5 hours per weekBand 5: £22,800 - £25,100 per annum (pro-rata)Contract Type: 6-month Fixed Term ContractLocation: Tingley or Hemel Hempstead- This role can be remoteThe role:Working in NHS Professionals (NHSP) Nursing & Midwifery Team, the Recruitment Consultant is responsible for recruiting suitably qualified, professional candidates and placing them into relevant assignments in NHS Professionals (NHSP) client organisations.Working with clients, to build and maintain effective working relationships to ensure we maintain a good understanding of their temporary staffing recruitment needs and requirements for all staffing roles from entry level to Specialist Roles.Proactively source, assess and attract candidates to NHSP and maintain a network of contacts to be effective in reacting to client short and long-term needs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and qualify candidates who apply to NHSP to ensure their suitability and commitment
  • Matching to client needs and forecasted demand before approving them to be put into the compliance process.
  • Build and maintain a candidate pipeline based on their area of specialty and continue to build your own knowledge of their Specialties and Sub-Specialties so that you can proactively develop in partnership with your candidates their career pathways.
  • Undertake proactive recruitment activity to support pipeline growth including social media, advertising, CV database mining, posting of jobs on agreed channels and being a point of expertise in your specific specialty area
  • Ensure recruitment of all candidates is in line with NHS check standards, safe recruitment guidelines and employment legislation
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate pre-employment checks are carried out to ensure correct immigration/work permit paperwork, professional registration, qualifications and health clearance in order to fulfil their post
  • Support the compliance team in ensuring on going compliance of workers is maintained
  • Work with Finance teams ensuring candidates timesheets or pay queries are resolved in a timely and effective manner
  • Deal with client/candidate queries and take ownership to follow up and ensure they are dealt with efficiently
  • Manage placed candidates’ assignments and maintain effective relationships with active candidates and placements
  • Attend relevant conferences/events to network and engage with existing and potential candidates and clients
  • Ensure adherence to clients agreed rate cards, ensuring the candidates agree the payment method for the duration of the assignment. Identify opportunities for business growth and new referrals
  • Be aware of market and legislative changes affecting medical staffing
  • What skills are we looking for
  • Proven and demonstrable experience in a recruitment consultant role
  • Numerate and detail conscious
  • Experience of working towards KPIs and objectives/in a target driven environment
  • Confident communicator with excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with staff at all levels across a wide range of managerial and professional groups
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
