Job Description

Head of Agency ServicesTingley/RemotePermanentYou will support the business with the ongoing design, planning, control and monitoring of the Agency Managed Service including all supply chain activities.This will be based on meeting or exceeding the client and workforce needs, whilst ensuring that NHSP and its partner Trusts achieve the best value for money from the approved supply chain.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new processes within the existing teams ensuring that both operational and strategic elements of a Supply Chain managed service continue and provide measurable costs reductions for the NHS.You will be required to lead on negotiations with external key stakeholders whilst working collaboratively with multiple teams internally to ensure service delivery and development.

  • Work closely with Agency Service Director to develop and implement a world class agency service.
  • Propose and implement the future To Be business process, policies and operational frameworks working in partnership with internal and external customers and external and internal providers, to improve operational delivery of service. This will involvechallenging historical ways of working as appropriate.
  • To carry out impact analysis when planning change understanding all the stakeholders and touch points impacted by the change
  • Aid the development of a multi-skilled agency management function to deliver an efficient, cost-effective agency supply service into partner Trusts.
  • Leverage NHSPs buying power across all customer Trusts to achieve best value supply terms from approved framework agencies, ensuring that NHSP can maximise supply for all Trusts within NHS Improvement rate caps.
  • Establish an agency audit regime that is no less comprehensive than would be expected of a direct buyer/hirer utilising the relevant framework agreement.
  • Develop best practice standard operating procedures for NHSPs standalone managed agency proposition.
  • Work closely with IT, Procurement, and product teams to identify, configure, and develop effective system) to underpin agency management and reporting.
  • Analyse supply chain data and performance to support service design.
  • Efficient management and oversight of supply chain risks and supplier assurance on behalf of NHSP and client Trusts.
  • Communicate compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems.
  • Write Business Cases for changes which require further investment with clear, measurable benefits realisation plans.
  • Work with identified budget to deliver relevant projects.
  • Prepare, present, and facilitate meetings and presentations to internal and/or external stakeholders as appropriate, in a variety of media including spreadsheets and presentations
