Job Description

Job Title: Bid Manager Location: Hemel Hempstead/Tingley or Home BasedHours: 37.5Do you have a passion and aptitude to drive new business opportunities for a market leaderCan you help save the NHS £ millionsWe have a fantastic career opportunity for a Bid Manager.NHS Professionals is the leading provider of managed temporary workforce services to the NHS. We work in partnership with NHS Trusts to manage and build their staff banks to ensure they are able to meet the demands of a busy health service.We are looking for a Bid Manager to proactively manage bid proposals, to support the sales growth effort for structured staffing bids and solutions for the NHS. This is a really exciting opportunity to join the NHS family, and play your part in delivering staffing solutions which have a positive impact on patient care.Working as part of a team, you will be accountable for a portfolio of bids and proactive proposals, and the timely delivery of compliant and compelling tender responses.Experience of public sector bidding is essential for the role; ideally you will also have demonstrable experience of a recruitment or HR outsourcing environment.Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the business development team to respond to new opportunities.
  • Maintenance of shared resources and content libraries
  • Bid project mobilisation and delivery from end-to-end.
  • Creating accurate and compelling content
  • Working across the organisation to communicate and share learning from bid outcomes which assist in improvement and lessons learned analysis.
  • Deputising for the Bid Director where required
  • The ideal candidate:
  • A self-motivated, calm and and driven individual who possesses strong consultative sales skills, and the ability to absorb information and learn quickly
  • Effective management of external and internal stakeholders at all levels, progressing multiple complex work streams to agreed deadlines and milestones.
  • Creation of winning bid responses and business proposals, including written content and visual design.
  • Polished presentation, oral and written skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to confidently interact at the highest level.
  • Able to articulate recruitment managed service solutions to senior decision makers.
  • Gravitas and proven experience of building and maintaining long-term business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders up to board level.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of public sector frameworks and procurement processes
