- Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire:- Site based with occasional home working- Part time or full timeBroster Buchanan are delighted to be working in partnership with Sundown Products Limited, a Manufacturer of high-quality prepared feeds and bedding solutions for a range of farm animals.With a 45-year history in the industry, Sundown have ambitious growth plans which incorporate increased output, a range of new products and entry into a new sector; the business operates 3 production lines in Cambridgeshire.The Head of Finance is a new position to compliment the senior management team reporting into the MD and owner, whilst taking control for Finance, IT and Administration.You will help drive strategy and commercial performance, whilst managing an efficient and structured back-office department. The position is perfect for those who enjoy a hands-on role and want to be involved in all areas of the business. The Head of Financewill be joining at a key time in the businesses journey.Key Duties include:1. Take full responsibility for all financial activities of the company:- agree clear annual budgets and ensure that they are adhered to- prepare accurate, reconciled and timely monthly and annual accounts- report P&L for individual company divisions & drive financial performance (key focus on labour and energy costs)- manage all cash flow projections, debtors, capital expenditure and funding- manage capital project expenditure2. Manage all administrative compliance and contracts for the company- Payroll, Employee contracts & records, Company Hand book, Database management- Insurance, VAT, Tax, Grants, Trading terms- Energy compliance, embedded carbon policy, packaging & waste compliance3. Manage the IT on behalf of the company- Telephones, hardware, software, broadbandSuitable applicants will likely have experience across the following areas:- Member of CIMA (or equivalent), with several years of senior management accounting experience, consideration will be given to part qualified applicants with relevant experience- Competence in the use of computer based financial management systems and Microsoft office i.e. hands-on ability is essential- Experience of Kerridge or similar ERP in a manufacturing environment- A can do approach that seeks to simplify financial activity- Capacity to effectively manage others to enable adherence to budget and accurate reporting- Excited to assist in the development and execution of a profitable strategy- Able to challenge current thinking - confident & determined- Good communicator - face to face, telephone & social mediaBrosterBuchanan are a retained supplier and any direct approaches will be forwarded to BrosterBuchanan for review.Please reach out to for full details on this exciting opportunity.
