Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with a multi million turnover privately owned manufacturing business, based in the Barnsley area.This is an exciting opportunity and a new role at this level within the business.A project focused manufacturing solutions provider, my client are seeking a procurement leader with a stong background within metals procurement. The Role:The Procurement Manager is responsible for the procurement strategy for all three manufacturing sites, based within the UK.* Ensures the upkeep and constant improvement of procurement procedures * Work with the Buyers to provide tendering, evaluation and negotiation activities and to support them with supplier management programs* Work to identify and implement cost reduction, efficiency and improvement projects* Identify opportunities to set up contracts with key suppliers and to effectively manage those contracts* Management of all suppliers and continuously maintain internal stakeholder engagementWork to the project budget and highlight any discrepancies with the relevant Project Manager and Finance team 2. Identify and record any cost or efficiency saving activitiesThe Person:Strong organisational, strategy and decision-making skills are essential Excellent inter-personal skills First class planning & organisational skills Good presentation, written and oral communication skills Must be an innovative thinker and commercially aware Must be willing to develop interpersonal and communication skills Must be computer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word CIPs qualified procurement professional The business:A forward facing manufacturing business with ambitious growth plans with their sector.
