Role: Breakfast ChefLocation: DevonSalary / Rate of pay: £28,000 per annumPlatinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a family-owned, luxury 4 star hotel on the South Devon coast and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Breakfast Chef to join their team, catering for the eateries within the hotel.Whats in it for you

This beautiful property boasts a 2 AA Rosette main fine dining restaurant as well as a terrace bar and poolside bistro as well and an on-site food-ledpub - the latter of which is run by a separate team of chefs.Fresh, locally sourced produce is a proud feature of the hotel, mixing classic dishes and new favourites. The menu for the fine dining restaurant changes daily with a weekly rotation whilst the terrace bar menu at lunch offers a selection of daily chefsspecials alongside the lunch menu.Whats involvedAs a Breakfast Chef, its your job to ensure guests start their day the right way; with a hearty full English breakfast or a variety of options youve prepared for the breakfast buffet.Your day will start at 6am/6.30am when out of season, you can expect to cater for an average of 60-70 covers each morning but during peak summer season, you can see this increase to an average of 110-140 covers each morning.Collectively, there is a well-established kitchen team of 11. Once breakfast service is over you will assist the rest of the team in preparing and cooking lunch for guests dining in the Terrace Bar, ensuring yourself and others have high standards of foodhygiene and follow the rules of heath and safety at all times. The Terrace Bar is popular with both guests and non-residents alike and the menu offers a selection of daily chefs specials alongside the lunch menu.
