This thriving engineering business is adding to their team and looking to recruit an Internal Sales Engineer. The primary responsibility of this technical sales role is to write up quotations following site surveys by engineers and then to follow up outstanding quotes with customers.This well-established engineering business has a number a blue-chip customers and are specialists in their market place. Their core works revolve around engineers conducting annual services and inspections on facilities. Following these surveys, any required remedial works are highlighted by the engineers in their reports.Sales Engineer role:The role of Sales Engineer will involve compiling costings reports for customers for any works required, the materials needed and time required. The costings will be done through a costing platform and jobs are also entered onto Salesforce so they can be tracked. Quotations are followed up on a regular basis to secure the works order.Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum, dependent on experienceBonuses based on monthly and quarterly sales targets being achievedExperience needed:A strong background in technical sales or engineering will be required. Our client will offer initial training out on site with their engineering staff but the successful applicant must have a understanding of engineering basics and be able to write reports to a good standard. Good written business communication and numeracy skills essential. Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word & Excel essential.This is an office based role however a pool car will be available if any site visits are required.
