Job Description

Our client is seeking outstanding Teachers ofModern Foreign Languageto work within their high performing Academy. This position is open to both ECTs and more experienced Teachers.The Academy has three consecutive Outstanding judgments by Ofsted, with the most recent inspection in 2014 finding the Academy to be Outstanding in every aspect. They are a consistently high performing school; in 2019, our progress 8 score was 0.61, 94% oftheir students achieved a 4+ in English and 86% in maths.They are able to offer all teachers an extensive programme of first class professional development. To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
To contribute to raising standards of student attainment

Your main area of responsibilities will be:

To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies in the subject area.
To contribute to the subject areas Improvement Plan and its implementation.
To attend all appropriate meetings.
To plan and prepare courses and lessons.
To contribute to the whole Academys planning activities.

Qualifications & Experience

University graduate (Good Honours degree)
Evidence of successful teaching experience
Evidence of consistently good teaching and learning
The ability to use ICT effectively to engage students
An understanding of how to use assessment to inform planning for good teaching and learning
The ability to differentiate materials to meet the needs of learners
Evidence of pastoral experience
An interest in the wider curriculum
