Motivated and willing to carry out on the job formal training

Strong practical and problem-solving skills

The ability to quickly grasp new vehicle technologies

The ability to accurately follow written and spoken instructions

Experience of heavy vehicle or plant maintenance/repair

Desirable Skills:

NVQ / VCQ level 3 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)

Experience of some heavy goods vehicle maintenance/repair

Class 1 / Class 2 driving license

Knowledge of vehicle electrical, hydraulic systems and refrigeration systems
