Job Description

Adecco are proud to be working with a manufacturing company who are expanding their team, see below:Job Title: Filling Operative (Food Manufacturing)Location: Headcorn, KentSalary: £10.00 - £10.50 per hour (£20,800 - £21,840)Hours: Monday to Friday 9.30am - 6.00pmBenefits:

  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Overtime available, paid at x1.5
  • Christmas shutdown
Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
  • Ensure you have the correct packaging ready for filling.
  • Fill bags / tubs to the required weight.
  • Cleaning of production equipment once filling is complete.
  • Ensure the filling area is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Load filled bags / tubs into crates and pallets and move to the dispatch area.
  • Ensure the correct PPE is worn during filling to avoid contamination.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene and Safety rules and standards.
  • Lift crates, bags, ingredients of up to 25kg.
Experience and skills required for this position:
  • The ability to work in cold environments (jackets and lined footwear is provided)
  • The ability follow instructions and read measurements.
  • Experience within a food environment
  • The ability to work alone but also as part of a team
  • The ability to read and speak a good level of English
  • Ideally you will have your own transport
