Learning Support AssistantTemporary Contract, Full-time (Monday-Friday)Ashford£80-100 per dayAre you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities Do you have experience working with children in a school setting Do you want to join a vibrant and inclusive community of learners and educatorsIf you answered yes to these questions, then you might be the perfect candidate for the role of Learning Support Assistant at a Secondary School in Ashford which caters for children aged 11-18.As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide one-to-one or small group support for students with special educational, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and other support staff to ensurethat the students can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will also help to create a positive and nurturing learning environment for the students.To be successful in this role, you will need to have:- A minimum of GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths- A relevant qualification or experience in working with children with special educational needs and disabilities- A positive, calm, motivational and flexible attitude- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenThis is a temporary full-time position for the academic year 2023/2024, starting from September 2023.
