Job Description

Job Title: CookLocation: Headcorn, KentSalary: £24,960 increasing to £26,000 after successful probationHours: Monday to Friday 9.30am - 6.00pmOur Client:A well-established and respected food and beverage manufacturing company known for their commitment to excellence and product innovation. With a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, they have built a strong reputation in the industry.Role Summary: As a Cook, you will play a vital role in the cooking operations. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of products according to established recipes created by the Technical team.Benefits:

  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Overtime available, paid at x1.5
  • Christmas shutdown
Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
  • Follow recipe cards to batch cook products.
  • Lift and feed raw materials into cooking vessels (lifting up to 25kg).
  • Monitor the temperature of the vessel to follow production process.
  • Complete production documentation for product traceability.
  • Complete a thorough cleaning process of the vessel after each production run to avoid contamination.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and Health & Safety.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene.
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the production management team.
Experience and skills required for this position:
  • The ability to work in cold and hot environments (jackets and lined footwear is provided)
  • The ability follow instructions and complete production documentation.
  • Experience within a food environment. (i.e. food production or catering)
  • The ability to work alone but also as part of a team
  • The ability to read and speak a good level of English
  • Ideally you will have your own transport
