Job Description

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUUp to £45k per annum for the right candidateDay shift hours 08:00 – 16:30Option for hybrid working from home 1-2 days per week (depending on company schedules)28 days holiday + stat bank holidaysTHE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment are looking for a Planning & Records Engineer to join our aviation business based within Teesside. People with experience within the aviation sector are highly advantageous. The Planning & Records Engineer will be performing planning ofmaintenance, planning the availabilities of the means to perform the work, control of maintenance data, preparation of work packages and record archiving activities.If you are looking for a new role based in the Teesside area this may be the role for you. The right candidate will be joining a global business in brand new state of the art facilities.THE ROLELiaise with relevant Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisations (CAMO) to review their requested scheduled maintenance needs and schedule appropriately into the WASL maintenance planLiaise with relevant CAMO to obtain initial requested maintenance work scope(s) and processes any addendum requests thereafterLiaise with relevant CAMO to confirm any preloaded spares and materials and identify / coordinate provision of any additional items that need to be sourced by WASLLiaise with aircraft and engine manufacturers and the relevant CAMO (customer provided) as required to obtain maintenance data then distribute and control within WASL to ensure maintenance personnel have access to the correct revision status of maintenancedataReview maintenance work scopes with key WASL internal stakeholders to ensure the means to perform the planned maintenance activities is available (including but not limited to manpower, hangar, tooling, equipment, parts, materials, data)Review maintenance work scopes with key WASL internal stakeholders to identify and then coordinate provision of any required external services (e.g. Non-Destructive Testing, Tooling Loan)Prepare relevant work packages and formally handover to maintenance personnel as applicableReview completed work packages, identify errors and/or omissions and liaise with maintenance personnel to have appropriate corrections made to ensure the system is reflective of maintenance activities performedReview Avsight (electronic records system), identify errors and/or omissions and liaise with maintenance personnel to have appropriate corrections made to ensure the system is reflective of maintenance activities performedArchive electronic copies of completed work packages and send original documentation to relevant CAMOParticipate in internal and external stakeholder liaison meetings as requiredPerform any additional duties or tasks as directed by the Planning & Records SupervisorActively support and promote a positive safety learning culture through the reporting of occurrences and potential hazards and by adopting continuous improvement and human factors principles with their workTHE PERSONMinimum of 3 years planning experience within a Part-145 and/or Part-M/CAMO environmentKnowledge and understanding of applicable Part-145 and Part-M/CAMO requirementsExperience of continuing airworthiness records systems (e.g. Avsight, AMOS, OASES)Ability to interpret technical dataTechnical records experience desirableTechnical knowledge representative of the products/types maintained by WASL desirableKnowledge of HF, EWIS, & FTSInvolved in maintenance planning and document control for several yearsUK CAA / EASA Part M & Part CAMO – Understanding the Management of Continuing AirworthinessPrevious roles include master scheduler, and currently a maintenance and project plannerTO APPLYPlease apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Consultant Neil Douthwaite who is leading the search.
