We’re looking for onsite presence 1-2 times per week and parking is fully subsidised. Additional support is needed in the form of a DBA, to report into their Senior DBA. The business are Microsoft Enterprise Partners and have everyintention of migrating completely to Azure. This company are committed to ensuring best in classefficiency in all of their technical departments.The RoleIn the short term you will be supporting the existing environment whilst beginning cloud migration preparation. The Senior DBA is responsible for the communication with stakeholders and users of the business, freeing you up completely to focus on the technicalwork. There is no on-call requirement. This would suit a DBA with 5+ years’ experience, who wants to be rewarded for their hard work and part of a bigger migration project in the future.Designing, developing, and maintaining SQL Server databases for various projects and applicationsMigrating existing databases to Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed InstanceEnsuring the security, performance, availability, and scalability of databases in AzureTroubleshooting and resolving database issues and providing technical supportCollaborating with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutionsTo be successful in this role, you will need:At least 5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in a complex and dynamic environmentProficiency in T-SQL and database administration toolsExcellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skillsAnd ideally:Knowledge of Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance features and best practicesExperience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other Azure data servicesIf you are interested in this position, please action an application to this position.
