Job Description

Our client is looking to welcome ambitious people. Accelerate your career with a rewarding job at a dynamic, high-spec facility based in Thornaby.Duties will include:

  • Ensuring all safe systems of work and standard operating procedures are always adhered to in Health & Safety, Production and Quality, as set out by the company
  • Complete all related paperwork and input data accurately
  • Assist the operator in carrying out maintenance and ensure the machines are kept in a good mechanical working order, reporting any issues to management
  • Ensure the housekeeping of the machine and working area, is maintained, in line with the company standard
  • Identify areas of improvements and work in a proactive manner
Required skills and experience:
  • No qualifications required but previous experience in manufacturing would be advantageous. However, whilst previous experience is an advantage, an attitude to learn is more important
  • Positive "can do" attitude, and flexible to work on a variety of different sections within the department when required
  • The ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail is key
  • Working well with others in a small team is a regular part of the role
  • Patience and the ability to work well during busy production periods
  • The ability to accept direction and work without constant supervision
  • Physical skills like movement, coordination and dexterity
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
Shifts:
  • Days - Monday to Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm
Payrates:
  • £9.50
