We are looking for a Senior Positive Behaviour Support Worker to work across both of the below packages, but may be based in one team with the expectation to cover other services as needed. There will be an expectation that they will be part of an on call rota, for own services for a week at a time once a month. A gentleman with a brain injury, who is looking to gain back life skills that he unfortunately lost. He has a wonderful senses of humour and loves to have a laugh and a joke with people. He loves the outdoors, and going for walks. Hes currently working on improving his communication, which staff will be supported through. This package is based in Highbridge. & A gentleman with learning disabilities, loves going out to the pub and people watching! Enjoys going for rides in his car, getting his newspaper and a little sweet treat! his package is based in Taunton. Youll be an essential link to help your customers undertake daily tasks and enjoy accessing services and activities they enjoy out and about in the community. Youll help your team to work with your Customer and develop alongside their Behaviour Support Plan, all the while developing and furthering your own skills and knowledge. If you are a great mentor and encouraging force to others then our Senior Positive Behaviour Support Worker role is the perfect combination of direct support and the first steps to a supervisory role, and is a great opportunity to practice your line management skills. A Senior Positive Behaviour Support Worker is a vital role working alongside management, and involves: Helping our customers to remain independent in their own homes. Supporting our customers by accompanying them to appointments, shopping, preparing meals and helping with daily living routines including washing, dressing and personal care. Providing companionship and making someone’s day that little bit easier. Maintaining and recording accurate notes, including relevant care and support plans and risk assessments. Monitoring, assessing and implementing changes to risk assessments, behaviour support plans and support notes. Taking responsibility for the smooth day to day running of the service. Supporting the management team by carrying out tasks relating to the management and training of the team of Support Workers. Acting as an ambassador for the Company, building effective working relationships with external and community organisations such as families, neighbours and relevant professional bodies. To work flexibly on set shifts including weekends. (Ideally) Previous attainment of a level 2 NVQ or equivalent Health and Social Care qualification and willingness to work towards level 3 with our support. Experience of working in a physically demanding role, or experience working with behaviours which can challenge, both physically and verbally. You will be given full training and support right from the outset.
