Job Description

My client is a very well established and reputable firm of accountants with several offices throughout Somerset and Devon. They are accomplished specialists in their field and have an incredibly supportive culture meaning staff retention is very high.We are looking for individuals to join lovely offices in Chard as a Manager. This is a full time, permanent role attracting a salary of between £30,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience, plus benefits and free parking.The Successful Candidate:

  • You will have a minimum experience of 4 years in practice.
  • AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • You will be an excellent communicator.
  • Be a team player.
  • Personal tax experience and some corporate if poss
  • Experience working with GP Partnerships (desirable not essential)
    • Key responsibilities:
  • Manage a client portfolio
  • Preparing/reviewing accounts for a range of small to large clients
  • Dealing with client queries, tax returns, ad-hoc work as required
  • Training of junior staff and supporting them with their development
  • Overseeing a team and ensuring that workflow is distributed accordingly
