Our client is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer within the Infrastructure Devices Team to provide both BAU and Project support.You will have knowledge, and experience, in MS Windows Server and Azure cloud technologies. Youll provide specialist, hands-on engineering support across various products, whilst providing best-in-class service.Role: Infrastructure EngineerBack up and StorageRate: £250 - £300 per day (inside ir35)Start: May 2022Duration: 3 months initially (strong chance of extension thereafter)Location: Remote (client based in Taunton)Your skills and experience: Proven in a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer role with strong infrastructure support experience Knowledge and experience of Virtualisation Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) Experience of Azure cloud computing technologies. Designing and running on-prem infrastructure to cloud-based migrations (Azure) Experience of storage and backup technologies; management and automation tools for provisioning, monitoring, and administration Experience with MS System Centre (SCOM & SCVMM) Knowledge of high availability and DR environments ( MABS, StorSimple, ASR) Ability to prioritise workloads based on business impact and able to demonstrate the flexibility of shifting priorities quickly if needed Excellent troubleshooting capabilities on critical platforms Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills A can-do approach with a balanced focus on customer service and personal accountability A desire to improve the IT systems. Embracing and supporting change and innovationNice to have Understanding of UNIX/Linux Experience with scripting or automation.
