Spencer House are looking to recruit a Registered Manager for our Children’s Home in Prescott.We are looking for a unique person who has the passion, drive and skills to lead and manage our home. You will have experience at management level and will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the management and leadership of teams working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.You will be expected to work in a 4 x bedded home with young people who have a multitude of complex needs and exhibit risk taking behaviour such as Child sexual exploitation, County Lines, alcohol and substance misuse. You will lead and manage a team to support children who regularly go missing from care and work with external agencies to identify solutions to the various social issues children face on a daily basis. You will create a nurturing environment, which focuses on reward and enjoylable activities for the young people and be proactive in securing long term placements with positive outcomes.Furthermore, You will understand the challenges of ensuring that the home is compliant in relation to Ofsted inspections and be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in relation to overall outcomes for the children living in the home. You will either be qualified at level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or working towards this and be committed to further learning and development.Your ability to communicate effectively in a multi professional environment is essential alongside the ability to inspire as a leader. You will have the opportunity to shape the service strategically and to play a role as part of the overall management team in developing practice.This post requires dedication, flexibility and commitment, as a reflection of this we offer extensive senior management support and guidance.The hours will be 09:00 hrs – 17:00 hrs Monday – Friday, you will also be required to be on call rota to support the service during the evenings and weekends.Person Spec:
