Support WorkerWe are looking for dedicated and empathetic people to provide support to individuals with learning difficulties.Our client provides support to individuals with learning difficulties, mental health issues, autism and acquired brain injuries and some of the people display behaviours that challenge. In light of the Coronavirus they are anticipating a significant increase in the requirement for employees to support people in our residential and Supported Living services. By believing in someone you can help people reach their own potential as well as supporting with the everyday tasks such as finances, housekeeping, attending appointments, shopping, and participating in various activities of choice and a dedication to further people we support’s skills and abilities.This role will include the ability to manage aggressive episodes using positive behaviour support and physical intervention skills, however, you wont be lone working for these.About you:You will be a dedicated and empathic person who is able to not only provide physical care, but also offer emotional support to help people to reach their maximum independence in a safe and positive living environment.Previous experience of care is not essential for this role as training is provided. However, you should have a caring, personable nature, be confident yet able to offer a calming influence, demonstrate initiative under pressure, show drive and a self-awareness of your own development needs.You will have excellent written and communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team and be able to learn and undertake the essential training that is required for the role.
