Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Groundworker to join their gang on site in Swansea. You will be crucial to ensuring the project runs smoothly over the next 9 months.GroundworkerSwansea, SA1

  • Full time, permanent

Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UKOur client is a multidisciplinary construction company that has been trading successfully for over 40 years. They focus on civil engineering but undertake a wide variety of works from civils, utilities, demolition and industrial building to refurbishmentsand internal fit outs.They work primarily for the utility industry and have secured several long-term frameworks with national clients that they have worked with for over 30 years.About the Groundworker role:The construction company is looking for a Groundworker ideally with plant tickets (excavator / dumper/ roller) and shuttering joiners with persons for substation entry for a project they have in Swansea.The overall project is 9 months. Approximately 4-5 months will be with civils, with the possibility of additional work on site.As Groundworker, you will prepare the land ready for building. As such, you will undertake the following duties:
  • Preparing each site for building with barriers and safety signs
  • Draining (removing sewage water by flow or pumping)
  • Laying foundations
  • Building chambers
  • Reinforced concrete works
You will need the following tickets:
  • Persons (BESC)
  • CSCS Card
  • HSG47 Ticket
Other tickets:
  • CPCS/NPORS Slinger/Signaller
  • CPCS/NPORS 360 -/+ 10 tonnes
  • CP for NG site
  • Plant tickets (excavator/dumper/roller) ideal
