The business is currently thriving at the moment which is why they have a need for a high level Automation Manager to oversee a growing team. You will manage two manufacturing facilitiesacross South Wales and youll have full autonomy to grow and develop automation across both sites, you will be tasked with recruiting your own Engineers to work under you and completely develop the Automation / Engineering departments. Role & Responsibilities:Running a team of two - Automation Engineer, Site Services Engineer. Responsible for managing Automation across two manufacturing facilities. Lead the evaluation selection and Implementation of PLC-based automation solutions, including SCADA systems, HMI interfacesand data acquisition tools. Oversee the Design, deployment and maintenance of IT systems supporting automation initiatives, including manufacturing execution systems. Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, IT and other departments to identify automationopportunities. Build and lead a team of multi disciplined automation engineers, providing direction, mentorship and support of drive innovation. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Previous experience working as an Engineering Manager or Automation Manager. Amanufacturing automation specialist with strong technical expertise in PLC programming, control systems design, industrial networking and IT infrastructure management. There is a requirement also to have strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, safetystandards and quality management systems applicable to automation.
