We are actively looking to recruit two successful individuals for a Transport Planner role based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire! This role would suit either a transport professional or a character with the desire to join & grow their career in Transport.Client DetailsOur client are a world leading recycling & distribution business with 17 sites in the UK who supply both trade, retail & industry recycling services. The company has recently grown to employ 390 HGV & LGV vehicles who serve a 24/7 transport network. Withover 8,000 loads on a typical day to day basis - this is an extremely fast-paced transport operation and would suit those looking to grow and advance a career in the sector. Future growth is also planned for the site, thus resulting in high levels of opportunitiesmoving into 2023 onwards!DescriptionAs a Transport Planner you will report into the Transport Planning Manager and Head of Logistics on a daily basis. You will be based at the Swadlincote area of Derbyshire and have the following areas of responsibility. This role will primarily be responsiblefor planning, in a timely manner transport requirements on a day 1 / day 2 basis, so that the team meet the required plan, logistics service and cost performance targets.
