Job Description

Research and Development Engineer required. My client is an international leader in manufacturing polymer sealing solutions to a range of industries on a global scale. They are now looking to expand their airframe and aero-engine team withan experienced Research and Development Engineer. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both destructive and non-destructive testing, the use of CATIA, will be degree qualified and will be based locally to Swadlincote. Research and Development Engineer Position Overview

Creating Test Plans, Test Reports and compliance documents
Compliance database maintenance and continues development
Testing fixtures and equipment - concepts, design, build and commissioning coordination
Testing - execution of test plans, typical scenarios to include; Load Deflection Characteristics, Life Tests / Endurance / Cycling tests, Pressure / Leakage Tests, Temperature Testing & Fire testing
RTCA DO-160G - Test procedures for Airborne Equipment
Running the operations of two test labs
Ensuring compliance to standards,
Continues improvement and development of working procedures and capabilities, ISO17025 implementation lead
Follow procedures and perform duties in compliance with company accreditation requirements (AS9100 and ISO17025)

Research and Development Engineer Position Requirements

Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
Experienced with Mechanical design with a proficiency with CATIA
Qualified in Engineering testing
Experience working to AS9100 and ISO17025 standards
Previous experience in the Aerospace sector would be highly advantageous
Based within a commutable distance of Swadlincote

Research and Development Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary £40,000 - £42,000
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:45-8:15 to 16:30-17:00, Friday 7:45-8:15 to 12:30-13:00
32 days holiday including bank holidays
