SF Recruitment are pleased to be partnered with a leading business operating within the Construction & Manufacturing industry with company turnover of £85m and manufacturing unit turnover of £25m.A key player in their market & backed by a multi-national PLC group, my client is looking to add a qualified, expeirenced accountant to report directly to the business CFO. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and ambitious accountantwith a strong manufacturing (costing) background to join a growing business and progress your career.You will report to the Chief Financial Officer who needs a right-hand person to support the management and development of the finance function. The key elements of the role are the production of financial accounts/reports but in parallel ensure the financesystems and processes are robust and scalable.The role includes:

Full preparation and control of the production and manufacturing accounts
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of regular group reports including monthly management accounts, cash reporting and quarterly statutory consolidation
Working with site teams and the shared service department to review and understand monthly costs whilst improving reporting accuracy
Periodically visiting job sites
Reconciling key balance sheet accounts
Preparation of year end accounts and group consolidation (IFRS)
Compliance activities: audit, tax and statutory returns
Provide technical accounting guidance where needed re UK/international GAAP
Support Chief Financial Officer in preparation of plans/forecasts
Support Chief Financial Officer on ad hoc commercial projects

About youYou will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with Manufacturing or Production Accounting experience.Experience of Peoplesoft or Coins accounting packages and construction/ engineering experience would be an advantage.You will be ambitious and resiliant, ideally with prior transactional staff management experience as you will be overseeing a team of 4 talented transactional staff.Prior systems implementation experience would be beneficial however not essential.Whats in it for you
