Job Advert: SEN Learning MentorLocation: SwadlincotePosition: SEN Learning MentorStart Date: September 2024About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Mentor to join our vibrant primary school team in Swadlincote starting in September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational and personal development ofchildren with Special Educational Needs (SEN).Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each students needs.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system.
Monitor and record students progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students social and emotional growth.
Assist in classroom management and the delivery of lessons, ensuring that all students can access the curriculum.
Support students in developing essential life skills and promoting independence.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with children of varying abilities.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A proactive and flexible approach to meeting the needs of students.
