Job Advert: SEN Learning MentorLocation: SwadlincotePosition: SEN Learning MentorStart Date: September 2024About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Mentor to join our vibrant primary school team in Swadlincote starting in September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational and personal development ofchildren with Special Educational Needs (SEN).Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each students needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system.
  • Monitor and record students progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students social and emotional growth.
  • Assist in classroom management and the delivery of lessons, ensuring that all students can access the curriculum.
  • Support students in developing essential life skills and promoting independence.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
  • A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with children of varying abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to meeting the needs of students.
