Job Description

Plumbing and Gas Trainer AssessorFull Time, 37 hours per weekSalary £30,139 per annum dependent on qualifications and experiencePLUS Bursary up to £1,800 per year (qualification level dependent)PLUS £4,500 Golden Hello staged over 3 yearsPLUS, up to £5,000 professional development bursary for formal education and training qualifications including:

  • Level 3-5 Education & Teaching
  • Level 3 TAQA Assessor Qualification
  • Level 4 TAQA Internal Quality Assurance Qualification
Who are we looking forDue to our growing apprenticeship provision, we are looking to appoint an experienced Trainer for Plumbing and Domestic Heating to join our professional apprenticeship team. The post holder will coach, train, mentor, assess, and support apprentices to achievetheir full potential in theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and behaviours both in their workplace and at college.Up to date commercial experience within the Plumbing and Heating (including Gas) industry is essential, alongside an understanding and knowledge of the current apprenticeship standards, up to level 3. An appropriate teaching qualification/experience, assessoraward, and verifier award are highly desirable,but all levels of prior training and experience will be considered for the right candidate.The role is based at the Stephen Burke Construction Academy in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire alongside work-based visits to apprentices in their place of work.Were currently offering hybrid working where you can choose to work at home or the office. However, all employees must be on campus for at least three days per week.
