Job Description

The RoleCapella Professional are proud to be working in partnership with a leader in plant extraction and the manufacture of natural ingredients for the health, beauty, and food industries, as they recruit a Production Planning Manager on a full-time, permanent basis,As the Production Planning Manager for their Overseal site, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and ordering raw materials used in the manufacturing facility and finished products to be shipped to customers. Achieve and maintainKPI targets (PIR/Golden Rules/Best Practices/SLOB etc.,) and ensure job tasks are properly delegated and attend to by the responsible team associates.Specific ResponsibilitiesFunction Management

  • Follow parameterisation in SAP
  • Identify and resolve shortages through efficient scheduling to ensure an appropriate inventory level following corporate standards.
  • Ensure customer (internal and external) response on time managing realistic daily plans considering capacity and raw material availability.
  • Work under the standards of quality, safety, industrial hygiene, and good practices.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to implementing a planning strategy aligned with the business needs.
  • Escalation points for resolution of problems, complaints, and prioritisation issues.
  • Monitor workload and calendars to maintain the balance within the department
  • Communicate and interact with areas involved, to solve issues
  • Achieve and maintain service level targets
  • Obsolescence control (use of SLOB Tool for inventory at risk assessment).
  • Provide mid-long term forecast for procurement
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly status reports (e.g., COOISPI schedule, OTS, past due purchase orders) and distribute.
  • Review customer orders for raw materials resale demands. Create repack process orders as needed and release them to production.
  • Resolve or escalate issues related to orders, working with production, customer care, and regional and global affiliates as required.
People Management
  • Recruit, train, and coach the Planning Team
  • Supervise staff to ensure that all tasks are performed.
  • Document performance and provide ongoing feedback (e.g., conducting mid-year and end-year reviews), addressing behaviour and job performance issues, recommending hiring, firing, and annual salary increases.
The Person
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Foreign Trade, or others.
  • At least 5 years of experience in this area.
  • APICS Certification Desired
  • ERP/MRP expertise
  • Strong affinity to systems and analytical tools (desired SAP, BI, BO)
  • Fluent English
  • Microsoft Office Expertise
