Multi-skilled maintenance Engineer Up to 43k Swadlincote12 hour shifts, day and night shiftsEngineer / Multi-skilled maintenance Engineer / Swadlincote / Multi-skilled EngineerThe Recruitment Group is proud to be working with a fantastic engineering company. We are looking for a multi-skilled engineer to work within a heavy plant environment.The purpose for a multi-skilled engineer:Carry out the engineering activities of Manufacturing processes to the achievement of planned site operational and Health & Safety objectives. Develop and influence apprentice engineers, ensuring that they safely working to standers. Organize their workload from PPMs, reactive work, and improvement work stays to high standard.Main duties and responsibilities of a multi-skilled Engineer:Active engagement with plant safety, raising of safety concerns and strict adherence to the 12 Work Safe Basics.To be hands-on.Monitoring their own performance.Identifying pro-active and reactive maintenance tasks on a daily basis.Supporting the Engineering Manager/Team Leader in the day to day running of the department.Communicate with the site leadership team escalating any problems or issues related to production and engineering.Ensuring best practice is followed and shared information across all shifts.The writing of clear, concise handovers between shifts; capturing machines issues that could impact production.Carry out maintenance activities.Provide hands-on support for shift teams.Actively and analytically fault find.Operate in line with all HS&E standards and procedures.Responsible for overseeing plant safety including site emergency evacuation procedures.Appropriate supervision of team and contractors including permit writing and inductions.Drive Health & Safety and Environmental related issues to the Operational site leadership team.Identify and implement PPM and AM schedules and activities, driving continuous improvement.Experience/knowledge requirements for a multi-skilled Engineer:NVQ Level 3 in engineering 18th / 17th edition A strong technical knowledge in clay industry equipment (desirable)Process the ability to work with pneumatic controls and read electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeLean Manufacturing and other CI TechniquesCompany Benefits of a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer22 days holidays Sociable work patternOvertime available Pay reviews Progression and training Christmas week offPlease call Clarissa at the recruitment group to find out more about this position.
