Job Description

Due to exceptional growth T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for a Maintenance Technician to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.As a Maintenance Technician you will be part of the Sense Colour Maintenance team reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. You will perform routine and more complex electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance and installation of equipmentpromptly to minimise changes to site operations, all within your capabilities following the site training matrix.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Global Company who value each one of their employees and offer some excellent benefits!Maintenance Technician Details & Benefits;

  • £5,299 shift allowance

Maintenance Technician Job Details;
  • Provide a maintenance service which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Manage routine, preventative, and planned maintenance of the plant/equipment
  • Provide technical support/input to projects
  • Perform modifications and installations
  • Maintain a healthy Planned Preventative Maintenance system
  • Complete maintenance request forms in an acceptable time frame and keep records accordingly
  • Work with or alongside contractors whilst installing/maintaining equipment
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns including finding and fixing faults
  • Follow all Company procedures
Maintenance Technician Person Specification;
  • 5+ years experience
  • Experience of 3 phase and single phase electrical distribution systems
  • Experience of electrical control systems
  • Experience of inverter drives and plc controls
  • Electrical fault finding diagnosis and resolution
  • Understanding of electrical schematic drawings
  • Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent qualification recognised by CITB/EITB/JIB
  • 17th/18th Edition test and inspection
  • Mechanical repairs and fault finding skills
  • Basic experience of welding and fabrication
