Our client is a well-respected and high growth business operating within the Manufacturing Industry.Following promotion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Financial Controller for a sizable UK Division based in South Derbyshire.with strong business foundation and with opportunity for successful candidate to develop the business and Finance team to further improvements. This role with be reporting directly to the Managing Director, and with support of Group Finance Director.OverviewThe Financial Controller is tasked with overseeing the extensive variety of duties undertaken by the finance department, including setting targets and supporting individual departments to create and maintain their budgets.The role is a business facing to drive financial accountability with the business from all levels from manufacturing shop floor to engagement with customers.Responsibilities and Duties• Manging full month end process, annual audit process and tax compliance process• Manging annual budget process and regular forecasting to create no surprise culture• Leading, mentoring and motivating the accounts team of 5 people • Business partnering Managing Director • Monitoring Capital Spend projects• Margin monitoring on results and tendering• Cost saving managementEssential Qualifications and Skills• Experience in a similar role is essential, within a SME or Divisional manufacturing environment• Experience will include presenting key financial data, and manging accounting process• Business partnership to work with management team to drive improved performance• Demonstrate experience in creating commercial margin models and cost saving initiates. • Experience in manging procurement would be advantage • Power BI and Microsoft Navision experience and advantages• Possessing a positive, can-do attitude, with excellent attention to detail.
