Design Engineer Swadlincote M-T 745/815am start / 430/5pm finish Friday finish is 12:30pm SF Recruitment have an exciting opportunity to join our Swadlincote based clients Design Engineering team. Reporting to the Design Engineering Manager you will be instrumental in the New Product Introduction, as well as driving forward the technical advancementof our clients product range. Scope of the role: NPI - Working alongside the Project Management. Commercial and Development teams and responsible for technical aspects of the NPI induction - including: Design of production and development tooling purchases coordination Feasibility reviews and technical assessments Costing Data configuration management, ERP configurations Manufacturing drawings creation, BOMSs Designing to customer or internal specifications: Producing concepts, designs and technical proposals Design Validations, FEA, Prototyping Report Writing Keeping knowledge of new materials and technological documents up to date for maximum quality of design and cost effectiveness Assist in the customer management of all technical issues relating to new business opportunities Continuous Improvement Internal systems development Operations support and assistance in problem solving Job Requirements: Experience of using Catia, Abacus (Other packages considered) High proficiency in drawing standards GD&T Passionate in engineering with strong fundamentals understanding Experience of working within a similar role withing a production/ manufacturing environment Able to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads Right to work in the UK Experience Design Engineer (3 years preferred) Production/ Manufacturing Cad - Catia
