Job Description

Our client, a support services company, provides services to offices in the private and public sectors. This division provides Records / Document Management Services on a long term contractual basisBasic salary 35-50k depending on experience, and some flexible workingCaring for millions of boxes, magnetic media back-up tapes and scanned documents in a range of storage settings, along with a host of cloud solutions that serve customers their information at the touch of a button. Efficiently and cost-effectively managing all your business information in paper and digital form, from hour-to-hour retrieval through to end-of-life, confidential disposal. We are specialists in every step of the data journey.QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREDPrevious bid writing experience in a contractual / soft services sector / public sectorDesirable but not essential - Certified to APMP Foundation or Practitioner Level.Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB Produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates our value proposition. Gather evidence to answer Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) Questions and support the production and creation of high quality, engaging bid submissions to meet strict deadlines. The role includes writing, editing, reviewing and challenging bid documents to improve and contribute to the overall submission. KEY TASKS Producing and writing compelling contentWorking in a team to produce timely and winning bidsHelping to improve bid processes and challenging proposalsContributing to growth by providing bid supportIdentify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevantDeliver completed written bid question responses for review against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as requiredRe-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical / product teams, finance, commercial, legal and deliveryPresent technical information in easy to understand ways using graphs, diagrams, and visualsKeep accurate records and save material to a bid library’ for future useContinually evolve content to continually improve the quality of bid submissionsCreate visually compelling tendersBespoke executive summaryCreate response that matches client brief, creatively bringing to life their specific business needsSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREDStrong time management / prioritisation skillsExcellent written communication skillsTo be thorough and pay attention to detailExcellent verbal communication skillsAbility to work with multiple teams and individualsAbility to think clearly using logic and reasoningAbility to use your initiativeExperience of Bid Writing, Content Writing or Technical Authoring in B2B services sectorBe skilled in researching and interpreting the subject matter for each bid to extract the relevant information you will need to create proposal submissions and answer bid questions fully Required skills
