Job Description

We"re currently recruiting a dedicated Swtichboard Operator to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a part time basis, contracted to 18 hours per week.As a Swtichboard Operator, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work.   • £9.65per hour, 18hours per week
  • Working 3 days out of 7
  • Shifts on rota basis -7am to 1pm or3pm to 9pm

What you"ll be doing
  • Sort and dispatch callsande-mails to the relevant departmentaccuratelywithin a timely manner
  • Update and amendinformation when changes occur
  • Ability to record accuratetimes and dates of all untoward incidentsand complaintsrequiring Switchboard involvement.
  • Resolve stakeholder queriescompetentlyandenthusiasticallyto represent our organisation in a professional light
Who you are
  • Previous experience in this role/similar position is essential
  • Excellent telephone manner, with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain a high level ofconfidentiality
  • Exceptional organisation skills withthe ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft systems to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet
  • Able to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.
  • Confident working in a hospital environment and aware at times you willcome in contact withpatients that are particularly unwell or showing signs of distress.
  • This position is subject toa Disclosure & Barring Service check; costs met by the employer.
