Job Description

We have 2 clients with a unique opportunity for a Remediation and Aggregates Manager to join 2 of the leading earthworks and groundworks contractors, working across London & The Southeast.The focus of the role is to oversee the development and management of the supply chain of specialist partners covering:

  • Ongoing negotiation of rates for muckaway
  • Organisation and liaison with muckaway hauliers
  • Import of both primary and recycled aggregates, with a particular focus on developing the recycled supply chain
The role will involve negotiating, pricing and reducing costs to ensure maximum project profitability whilst ensuring timelines are met. Both of our clients are seeking people who are proactive, dynamic and whom think outside of the box in order to add value.This can be achieved by building relationships and negotiating to contribute to the business being profitable.Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement, you will have the opportunity to utilise existing relationships within the sector to identify additional savings and opportunities for generating additional revenues.To meet the challenges of the role similar experience in a haulage, earthworks or groundworks contractor or a solid understanding of soil contamination will be essential.A highly competitive salary is available, dependant on experience and market knowledge.
