Overseeing the ongoing executionof the strategy by monitoring, tracking the delivery and implementation of initiatives to give Executive, Shareholder and Regulatory confidence.What will you be doing day to dayEstablish the overarching corporate strategy, providing the rationale and garnering the support of the Exec and Board and then communicate and agree on changes.Create and manage a process that enables collaborative creation of a corporate strategy that encompasses all parts of SGN and recognises the contribution of regulated and unregulated opportunities.Create and manage a framework that facilitates the exec members to establish their own business-unit strategy to support the corporate strategy and enables collaborative creation, implementation and monitoring the delivery of and anticipated benefits of thestrategic initiatives implemented to deliver the corporate strategies.Establish a programme of business unit strategic deep-dives that supports the business units establishing and creating their strategic plans, aligning them with the corporate strategy and working closely with the finance team to integrate and secure alignmentbetween the strategy process and the budget process.Gather external information to inform the strategy, monitor, report and steer the risks, issues, challenges and opportunities that are presented and to challenge and support internal strategy development through horizon scanning, identification of opportunities.Create and sustain a review and monitoring framework that allows progress against the corporate strategy to be regularly assessed / reviewed in collaboration with the business and to assist exec members in monitoring the delivery of their business-unit strategiesidentifying which initiatives are selected, stopped or put on hold.What you’ll needAbility to create and communicate a clear sense of direction for SGN, and create processes in place to visibly manage, monitor and shape the strategyVery strong influencing and management skills able to work across departmentsStrong numerical and analytical skills.Understanding and ability to work across regulatory and commercial frameworksStrong interpersonal skills, able to influence and communicate to the highest levels within SGN and will be expected to present to board.Attention to detail, order and quality in all analysis.If you don’t have all the qualifications, we would still love to hear from you… we provide our own specialised learning and development programs, providing access to learning tools to help you acquire the skills needed to excel in our environment.
