Job Description

The Role:The Packaging Capabilties Manager - Future Horizons is a multi-faceted position managing the creation of a new Community of Practice for rdpk and single point accountability for its dynamic operational effectiveness and delivery.The objective of the new CoP is to build a highly engaged community of packaging experts that create scale, agility and innovation impact as a result of their collective effort. The output measure being class-leading programs in R&D Packaging connectedness,capability and talent.The Packaging Capabilties Manager Future Horizons drives the CoP LT, and manages engagement at R&D leadership level. An ability to foster strong inter-team collaboration in R&D Packaging, across the BUs and broader R&D organization. An ability to influenceand drive results with our key partner teams and functions such as R&D Capabilities, Innovation, HR Talent, Procurement, Sustainability, Design, Communications.Key Responsibilities:Engage a shared leadership model, to build and drive a seamless packaging Community of Practice with the following programs:CONNECT: ONE RDPK super-connect a community of >100 packaging experts and stakeholders on the Why, What and How via a mix of digitally enabled and face2face tools and best practicesCONNECT: OUTSIDE-IN Deploy dynamic insight and intel into the CoP. Seamlessly connect the CoP with the work product of the rdpk Open Innovation programCAPABILITY: BUILD SKILLS Lead skills mapping for the function. Define future FFP strategic capability priorities. Lead the learning portal and Academy to upskill the function.CAPABILITY: RDPK METHODS Architect, simplify and future proof the framework of ‘the Haleon way’ for packaging development (e2e development WoW, Tools, Standards, Guidelines, Methods)TALENT: GROWTH JOURNEY Launch the rdpk Career Ladder (MTrack, TTrack) and associated toolsTALENT: ATTRACT Build a new TA program for rdpk. Manage internal and external comms to drive attractionWe are looking for:

  • Experience in FMCG Packaging Development (Consumer or Healthcare preferred) with end-to-end development experience.
  • A strong track record in project and/or program management and delivery of innovation.
  • Experience in capability building at a team or BU or regional level (Technical, Design, Innovation, Project Management, Organisational Behaviour).
  • Experience in leading a global Community of Practice is strongly preferred.
