Job Description

Job Title: Pro C Developer (6-Month Contract)Location: Surrey, UK (2-3 days in the office)Rate:£400 per day (Outside IR35)Are you a talented Pro C Developer seeking an exciting opportunity in Surrey We are currently seeking a skilled individual to join our team on an 6-month contract basis. This is an excellent chance to showcase your expertise in Pro C development while workingon challenging projects in a dynamic environment.Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Develop and maintain software applications using Pro C, utilizing your expertise in the C programming language to implement efficient and reliable solutions.
  • Database Interaction: Interface with databases, typically Oracle, using Pro C to perform tasks such as data retrieval, manipulation, and transaction management.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Pro C development.
  • Code Optimization: Optimize Pro C code for performance and scalability, ensuring that applications meet performance benchmarks and run efficiently in production environments.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve issues in Pro C applications through thorough debugging, testing, and analysis of code and database interactions.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and maintainability of Pro C codebase.
  • Documentation: Document code changes, architecture, and implementation details for reference and future maintenance purposes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, testers, and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Pro C development to continually enhance your skills and contribute to the success of the project.
  • Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Pro C applications, including troubleshooting user-reported issues, applying patches, and implementing enhancements or new features as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Pro C Developer (crucial)
  • Proficiency in C programming language (crucial)
  • Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts (crucial)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Oracle databases.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Location and Contract Details: This position is based in Surrey, UK, and offers a rate of £400 per day. The contract is outside IR35 and is for a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.
