This role will require you to engage customers on-site to take orders, identify sales opportunities and to respond to incoming sales opportunities by advancing the customerthrough our sales cycle using CRM software to record your communications. You will also be responsible for welcoming customers to the business as well as handling any complaints or product returns. Sales Advisors are also responsible for compiling and dispatchingproduct samples as well as keeping on-site merchandising up to date. This is the ideal role for an outgoing and personable candidate.Our StoryRock Unique is a leading supplier of stone and porcelain to the landscaping industry in the UK and beyond. We supply paving, walling, coping, cobbles, edging, steps, aggregates and bespoke products to landscapers, designers, architects, and homeowners. Ourrange also includes cleaning and sealingproducts. Natural stone is one of mankinds oldest building materials. In recent years porcelain products have grown in popularity. The variety of the formats, colours, and textures, when combined with the uniquerequirements of each customer mean that an infinite number of permutations are possible. Customers rely on knowledgeable sales support to help them find the right products for their individual needs.Core Processes Identify and record a sales opportunity Win a sales opportunity Handling a customer complaint Arranging a product return Welcoming a new customer Handling a sales enquiry Processing a sales orderKey Duties Proactively welcome customers that visit the showroom/area Handle incoming communications with customers Identify, record, and manage opportunities ensuring a high conversion rate to sales Provide product information and range guidance to customers Check stock availability and/or lead times Create, send, and follow up quotations Process sales orders and invoices Log payments Process product returns Update, maintain and enhance the quality of data recorded and held on customers records Communicate delivery progress with customers Manage delivery issues, with assistance from Sales Team Leader Oversee communication between the sales and distribution office Arrange and compile product sample including the dispatch of sampling Other duties may be assigned and/or the above amended from time to timeRequirements Demonstrable background in developing relationships with customers Experience using CRM software is advantageous, full training in transaction capture and CRM software will be provided Computer literacy and familiarity with office productivity tools Mathematical literacy and ability to explain technical concepts No product or industry knowledge is requiredPeople ProfileYou will have great interpersonal skills as you will be working closely with customers and others in our supply chain.o You will be punctual with specific attention to detailo You are friendly and able to listen and understand customers needso You are committed to learning about the stone & porcelain industry and invest in a career with uso You can understand and explain technical conceptso You are attentive to detail and perform to a high standard, reliablyo You are confident, ambitious, upbeat, and hard working
