Our client is is a leading well established medical diagnostic company, with an internatonal reputation comprising two flagship business divisions that specialise in the design, manufacture and support of Clinical Electrophoresis and Haemostasis systems.Manufacturing Technician - Reporting to the department supervisor your primary responsibility would be to undertake the manufacture and testing of medical diagnostic kits and antisera in a timely and efficient manner as directed by the departmentsupervisor and with reference to the appropriate procedures and guidlines.Main duties1. Manufacture, packaging and testing gel electrophoresis products and antiserum2. Documentation of all work according to GMP / GLP standards3. Analysis and interpretation of testing results4. Routine maintenance of lab instrumentation5. work in accordance with H+S and COSHH guidelines when handling reagencts and chemicals used in the manufacturing and testing process.6. Comply with all sgtatutory and site safety guidelines7. To carry out other duties as directed by the Managung Director, commensurate with the position and status.Key Skills 1. Good laboratory practice2. Minimum A level education3. Knowledge/Interest in Electrophoresis and protein purification is desirable but not essential4. Good attention to detail5. Able to work well within a team6. Excellent time management and organisational skills7. Ability to communicate well with all personnel within the company8. Ability to priority plan9. Competent in the use of the internet and Microsoft windows programs including Word, Excel and Power point.This is a temp to perm position working Monday to Friday daytime hours.Salary starts £9.50 per hour
