Job Description

I currently have great opportunities for full time permanent Machine Operatives working in the print industry Lamination, Slitting, Waxing and Punching, to produce goods as required in line with the production plan. If you have experience working in anyproduction or manufacturing environment and using/operating machinery, then please read on as full training will be given.Working continental shifts 4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts (2 days & 2 nights)Days 6am - 6pm Nights 6pm - 6am£13 per hour - £27,040 annually before any overtimeOvertime available at enhanced rates - lots off opportunity to earn more!Duties and responsibilities

  • Operation of machinery (waxer, slitter, laminator)
  • Manual handling and loading reels and machinery
  • Monitoring work in progress ensuring final products are up to the highest standard ensuring checks are completed
  • Reporting and completing appropriate paperwork for any damaged products
  • Conducting weekly machine safety checks and recording outcome on relevant documentation
  • Conduct weekly cleaning and inspection checks
  • Accurately inputting production data into the workstation PC. Ensuring that all shift time is accounted for using appropriate waste and downtime codes
  • Recording of relevant information; completion of paperwork and labels with accuracy; maintaining traceability throughout process
Willing to participate in workplace improvement training and health and safety training.About you
  • Production or manufacturing experience
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • High standards of personal conduct
  • English and Maths GCSE 3/C or above
  • Good level of IT
  • Good team player; ability to work as part of a team and alone on own initiative
  • Reliable and flexible
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude to work
