Job Description

Client DetailsMy client - a reputable organisation in the Oil and Gas industry are looking for a Systems and Tools Engineer - join their site in Sunbury-On-Thames remotely on an initial 8-month contract!DescriptionThe successful candidate for the Systems and Tools Engineer - Oil and Gas Sector 8-month contract role will fulfil the following responsibilities:
  • Deploy and on board systems on projects ensuring they are appropriately configured and that our new projects are set up for success.
  • Provide global admin and/or super-user support to these systems during project execution.
  • Provide support to end-user communities including training and sharing best practice.
  • Conduct business led testing and user acceptance of software tools and enhancements collecting feedback to improve user experience.
  • Support delivery of version upgrades and releases to existing software systems whilst minimising business impact ensuring change is controlled.
  • Perform regular audits within/between different data sets ensuring data accuracy and integrity (eg Workday, FieldGlass).
  • Manage key interface with cost engineering squads working to accurately reflect FTE allocations and providing data for cost performance purposes.
  • Work with the Systems & Tools Discipline Lead in support of delivery of the Digital Strategy and engagement with I&E.
ProfileTo be considered for the Systems and Tools Engineer - Oil and Gas Sector contract role the candidate must present evidence of the following:
  • Previous experience working with systems configuration, training and implementation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good stakeholder management skills; ability to interface, influence, and work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Self-motivation and a high level of individual initiative and self-reliance.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in MS Office and ability to adapt quickly to new digital technologies.
Job Offer
  • 8 month initial contract.
  • Sunbury-On-Thames based (candidate needs to be able to come on site 3 days a week, no flexibility on this unfortunately), 2 days remotely from home.
  • Up to £375 p/day inside IR35
