The organisation is seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join our educational institution. As a Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our school facilities. Your primary responsibilitieswill include ensuring a clean and organized environment, conducting routine maintenance tasks, and assisting with various operational duties.Responsibilities:Facility Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks, such as repairing equipment, fixtures, and furniture, to ensure the smooth functioning of the school. Conduct regular inspections and promptly address any issues related to plumbing, electrical systems,heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and other building systems.Cleaning and Sanitization: Ensure cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school premises. Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, corridors, and other areas. Regularly sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Empty trash receptacles and maintain adequatesupplies of cleaning materials.Groundskeeping: Maintain the outdoor areas of the school, including gardens, playgrounds, parking lots, and sports fields. Perform tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing debris, and maintaining a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.Safety and Security: Monitor the school premises to ensure a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Conduct regular inspections of fire alarm systems, emergency exits, and security equipment. Report any potential hazards or securityconcerns to the appropriate authorities.Event Support: Assist in setting up and organizing school events, including meetings, presentations, exhibitions, and performances. Arrange seating, equipment, and decorations as required. Provide logistical support during events and help with post-eventcleanup.Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other necessary materials. Coordinate with the administration to ensure an adequate stock of essential items and place orders when needed.Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the administrative staff, teachers, and other employees to address maintenance-related concerns. Communicate effectively to promptly resolve issues and provide support as required.Requirements:
