Job Description

What you will doAs a Fire Detection Compliance Manager, your primary responsibility is for ensuring that the design and development processes within ADT Fire & Security UK based and remote based design centres adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.The role is to ensure that suitable processes, audits and training is in place and monitored to meet the legal and industry regulatory requirements as set out by British Standards and certifying bodies.What we offer

How you will do it
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with fire detection system regulations, ensuring design processes adhere to these standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain design quality standards, screening designs to meet criteria without defects or errors.
  • Risk Assessment: Implement processes to identify and mitigate design-related risks, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and control implementation.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate design documentation, including specifications and compliance procedures. Prepare compliance status reports and update stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into the design process.
  • Audits and Inspections: Conduct internal or coordinate external audits, including desktop and onsite design reviews, to address non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
What we look forRequired
  • FIA Advanced Designer Qualification
  • Extensive knowledge of fire detection accreditation BAFE SP203-1 scheme British Standards (BS5839 and others) and regulations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including remote design centres
  • Full Driving license to enable site based design audits across the UK&I region
Preferred
  • Experience in managing quality assurance and compliance programs
